Mother Christmas was dressed in her off-duty clothes. Instead of elves, she was accompanied by her granddaughter, to assist with handing out gifts to the children of Matthews Ground in Grahamstown Road.
This has been an annual event for Lilian Mari Slabbert. Lilian believes this is the time of the year that people can do something to spread some joy to the less fortunate.
Lilian and her granddaughter handed out teddies and sweets to the shy kiddies that gathered around them during their short visit to the area.
