Zwartkops Conservancy has organised two Carols by Candlelight events that will take place in Redhouse and Bluewater Bay on Monday and Wednesday respectively this week.
Members of the public are invited to join in to sing along and help get the Christmas spirit going!
Those attending the Redhouse event, will meet at the Zwartkops Rowing Club (ZRC) by 19h30 latest from where they will walk along the Tow Path.
Those wishing to attend the Bluewater Bay event must head towards the end of Amsterdamhoek Road (near the N2 bridge) by 19h30 on Wednesday. From there they will walk along the banks of the Swartkops River towards Tippers Creek. On the way they will pass houses that have been lit up with Christmas decorations.
An added bonus for both events will be the surfboat rowers from the Bluewater Bay Surf Lifesaving Club who will add colour from the water.
Word sheets and music will be provided but you are requested to bring your own torches to read the word sheets – and add more lights!
This is a tradition that started 57 years ago. There will also be a collection for the Children’s Feeding Trust.
