Bluewater Bay Primary School nearly fully booked for 2024

Parents that have not yet booked places for their children to be enrolled at the Bluewater Bay Primary School better do so quickly!

That is the message from school Principal, Mr Louis Venter, who said all Grade R places are already fully booked whilst there are only four spaces left for Grade 1 and a few spaces for Grades 6 and 7 in the English classes.  There are a few more vacancies in the Afrikaans classes from Grade 2 to 7.

Mr Venter became Principal three years ago and he has continued the proud history of Bluewater Bay Primary School punching well above its weight.

It is quite breath-taking when one looks back at everything the school has done over the last few months! There are currently 52 Grade 7 learners who will be writing the final exams as junior school learners this this year before heading off to senior schools in the city in 2024.

The school has a total of 450 learners – boys and girls – with instruction available in both English and Afrikaans.

The dedication of the 19 teachers and eight staff members is beyond the call of duty, resulting in the school not only offering all sporting codes such as rugby, tennis, cricket, athletics, netball and chess but also extramural activities such as camping, hiking and concerts.  The school grounds are also beautifully kept.

Principal Venter heaped praise on the teachers and staff, preferring not to be in the limelight.  But, like any good ship needs a good captain, it is clear Mr Venter is such a captain.
